LA derby dolls

We went to a roller derby on Saturday which is held in a warehouse downtown. With the new 'Whip it' movie promoting the sport, we thought it was worth a look, and it was, it was so much fun. We saw the fight crew beat the sirens, but both teams were awesome. It wasn't just the derby either, there were food vans, karaoke, bands at half time, a raffle, it was a great event. The girls are pretty tough, and their fighting names are really funny and clever. They were lots of tumbles, but they just get right back up again. Very cool.

Haunting Hollywood romance

Angelique Houtkamp is one of my favourite artists. I have one of her prints but would really like the 'Til death do us part' print below to put above our bed but I can't find it anywhere.. I love how they are so beautiful even with the underlying scariness.
